Hee Sook Lee, Ph.D.

PATENT ATTORNEY/FOUNDER&MANAGING PARTNER

Dr. Lee is a Korean Patent Attorney who received a Ph.D. in Pharmacy from Seoul National University, with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Food Sciences and Technology from Seoul Women’s University. She has been working in the field of Intellectual Property since 1999. Her technical expertise focuses on pharmaceuticals, molecular biology, biochemistry, medical technology, food science and agriculture. She has significant experience in patent application drafting, prosecution, expert opinions, and trial proceedings, as well as in trademark law.

Dr. Lee is admitted to the Korean Patent Bar and registered to practice before the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO). She is also a registered Technology Transfer Agent. She is a member of Korea Patent Attorneys Association (KPAA).

With a Ph. D. in pharmacy, Dr. Lee’s extensive academic and IP professional experiences make it easy for her to communicate with inventors. She establishes a great rapport with inventors, and thus is able to develop a deep and complete understanding of their inventions.

As the Founder and Managing Partner, Dr. Lee strives to provide the highest quality IP services including domestic and international IP procurement, R&D consultation, licensing and commercialization. Her IP expertise being widely recognized, she stays abreast of the ever-changing IP field as an advisory committee member regarding IP policy, R&D business evaluation, and health & medical technology valuation at various prestigious corporates, universities and research centers.

SEOK-MAHN KIM

Mr. Kim is a Korean Patent Attorney who received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biological Sciences from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He has been working in the field of Intellectual Property since 2004. His technical expertise focuses on molecular biology, biochemistry, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, food science and agriculture. He has significant experience in patent application drafting, prosecution, expert opinions, and trial proceedings, as well as in trademark law.

Mr. Kim is admitted to the Korean Patent Bar and registered to practice before the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO). He is also a registered Technology Transfer Agent. He is a member of Korea Patent Attorneys Association (KPAA).

With his continuously seeking advanced education in the field of biotechnology and extensive experience in all aspects of patent practice, Mr. Kim readily establishes a great rapport with inventors due to his ability of developing a deep and complete understanding of their inventions. He also possesses extensive experiences in rendering numerous technology evaluation and expert opinions on patentability, patent validity, patent infringement and freedom-to-operate, and in providing advices regarding various IP-related agreements including technology transfer agreements, research collaboration agreements and patent licensing agreements.

Mr. Kim actively participates as an advisory committee member regarding IP policy, Technology Evaluation and Transfer of medical and biological technologies at various prestigious private and public entities.

JUNG-HOON LIM

PATENT ATTORNEY

Mr. Lim has practiced law in the intellectual property field since 1998. As a Patent Attorney, he has gained extensive experience in providing a wide range of IP related services to major corporates, as well as start-up, small and mid-sized companies.

Mr. Lim concentrates his practice on the procurement, assessment, and transfer of IP rights. He has particular expertise in patent application drafting, prosecuting, analyzing, and transferring IP in the field of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, food science and herbology.

Mr. Lim received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. He is admitted to the Patent Bar in Korea and registered to practice before the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), and is a member of Korea Patent Attorneys Association (KPAA). He is also a registered Patent Agent to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Mr. Lim currently focuses his practice on the drafting, filing, prosecution, and counseling of out-bound and in-bound patent and trademark applications for domestic and international clients. Equipped with guiding principles of trust, excellence, advancement and gratitude, he constantly strives to deliver results with the highest degree of efficiency, to develop a deep understanding of client needs, and to be capable of focusing on solutions that best serve clients’ interests.

With deep interest in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine which view diseases as the expressions of an imbalance in the overall states of our bodies and trust the natural vital energy inherent within to promote our bodies’ abilities to heal themselves, Mr. Lim studied and practiced Acupuncture and Oriental medicine as Acupuncture Physician from 2004 to 2013 in Florida, the U.S., holding a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine (ATOM) in Florida, the U.S, and Diplomate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
